what to expect

Whether you’re looking for a new church, or have never set foot in a church, all are welcome at St Alban’s. It can be daunting coming to a new place, so this page has everything you need to know about coming along on Sundays.

what should I wear?

Church is about the people, and not about what you wear or how you look. Wear whatever you would normally wear on a weekend!

what happens during the service?

Our services look a little different each week, but there are a few things we do regularly: we sing together, we read the bible, we listen to a sermon (no longer than 25 mins), and someone leads us in prayer. Our services usually go for 65-75 mins. Afterward, we have morning tea together, with excellent food and coffee.

are kids welcome?

Absolutely! Kids are a key part of our church life. At our 10am service, we have a kids program with trained leaders in our hall. There is a cry room as well for parents with younger kids.

will I have to participate?

There is never a requirement to participate. You will never be asked to say or do something that you don’t want to do. We want you to come and enjoy, and we’ll make sure you feel welcome.

getting to church

We have very limited parking on-site for those with limited mobility. On street parking is available on Victory St and Nelson Ave. 2 hour parking is available at the IGA on the opposite side of Canterbury Rd.

We are also a 10 min walk from Belmore Station, and a 1 min walk from the 487 bus route (running between Bankstown and Canterbury).
